El Paso Behavioral Health SystemEl Paso Behavioral Health System is a private 167-bed psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas, specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Our inpatient and day hospital, or outpatient, services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.Position SummaryThe RN is responsible for performing intake assessments, crisis intervention and providing information over the hospital's services to patients. RN is also responsible for providing patients who do not meet criteria for admission with referrals to community resources to ensure continuity of care. RN will assist with call center functions and other duties to support the needs of the Psych E.D.QualificationsAvailability needed on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday.Education: Master's Degree in a human relations field or Registered NurseExperience: Preferably two or more years' experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact and crisis intervention.Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a mental health professional (LPC, LPC-Intern, LMSW, or LCSW) or RNAdditional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-V and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. Must have and maintain current CPR Certification.
