Private Markets Communications | Account Supervisor, AVP, VP and SVP

Locations: New York (Preferred), Boston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles and San Francisco

Work arrangement: Hybrid, three days in office

JBR Executive Search is partnering with Prosek Partners to recruit communications professionals across the Account Supervisor, Associate Vice President, and Vice President levels for its growing private markets team.

If you have experience helping private equity firms, private credit managers, or other alternative investment firms tell their stories, build visibility, and navigate important business moments, we would love to connect.

This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated investment firms, direct client relationships, and room to grow your responsibilities across strategic counsel, team leadership, and business development.

What you’ll do

• Develop and execute communications programs for private markets clients, including media relations, thought leadership, and executive visibility.
• Build relationships with financial and business reporters and secure meaningful coverage.
• Translate complex investment strategies and market themes into clear, compelling stories.
• Write and edit press releases, messaging, bylines, presentations, and executive materials.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and provide strategic recommendations.
• Support clients through transactions, fund announcements, leadership changes, and reputational challenges.
• Mentor junior colleagues and manage account workflow.
• Contribute to new business pitches and account growth.

At the AVP-SVP levels, responsibilities will expand to include senior client counsel, team leadership, resourcing, and account financial oversight.

What we’re looking for

• Approximately 5–12 years of communications or public relations experience .
• Experience in private equity, private credit, alternative investments, asset management, or broader financial services .
• Strong media relations skills and excellent writing and editing abilities.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering multiple projects.
• Strategic thinking, curiosity, and the ability to make complex financial topics accessible.
• An entrepreneurial approach and interest in helping grow a practice.
• Agency or strategic advisory firm experience preferred.
• For senior candidates, demonstrated experience leading teams and advising senior executives.
